Youth Works
Our parish approach to youth ministry is service and
fellowship based. Throughout the year our students in grades 7-12 choose
service projects to work on as a group throughout our parish and
community. The group also has the opportunity to take part in many
Diocesan events in which they interact with their catholic peers.

SACRAMENTAL PROGRAMS
Sacramental Preparation
The Diocese of Gaylord has instituted restored order in the
reception of sacraments.
Students beginning in the second grade have the opportunity
to prepare for reception of the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Confirmation
and First Eucharist. There is a series of preparation sessions that
students must attend with their parents along with being members of the
Family Works Program.
Reconciliation
The Sacrament of
Reconciliation celebrates the fact that we can be forgiven at all times. It
is the outward sign by which we celebrate an always merciful, forgiving God
and how we renew our relationship with Him and His people.
Reconciliation is a sacrament of continuing growth-in closeness to God and
deepening oneness with our community. The candidate of this sacrament needs
awareness that he/she has caused disharmony (sin) and needs to ask for
forgiveness.
Preparation will
NOT take place during regular religious formation sessions. Each year the
parish will provide specific preparation sessions for parent(s) and
candidate. These sessions are designed to support, educate and provide
materials so the parent(s) of the candidate can properly assist in their
child’s preparation and celebration of the sacrament.

Confirmation and First Eucharist
St. Ann Parish has
returned to Restored Order concerning the Sacraments of Confirmation and
Eucharist. An increasing number of diocese in the United States, including
the Diocese of Gaylord, are adopting a restored order policy for the
celebrations of Confirmation and Eucharist. This means, quite simply, that
it becomes standard policy for Catholics who were baptized in infancy to
receive Confirmation before First Communion, not after. This
means that both Sacraments are celebrated at the same Mass. For more
information, please contact the Office of Religious Education.
